Pat, why don't you get in touch with Mel and see if you can work out a deal for some space in that Army Base he's got a line on and get out of the weather.

Mystery project must be about restoring German helmets! (video).

Didn't get to see how you made the '32 radiator shell. (??).

    Good talent work!----Close---But no cigar.

"Close---But no cigar" What are you trying to say here. I suspect you feel pretty good now after taking some cheap shots at the kid and his work.
If you read the thread it mentions on the first page he got the radiator shell from someone.

ok getting back into the swing. so befor i start going crazy on making body panels i started making a deep throat shrinker strecher. here it is so far should be good to go in about a week or two 18X24 ID. then the plan is to knock out the subrails, floor, cowl doors quaters, trunk lid and then tiedy it up. im shooting for mid summer having all the panels done.

Nice work Kid! Keep it up.

  25. A deep-throat shrinker needs to have an especially stiff frame. The frame you have laid out will have a lot of flex in it. You have way more vertical height than necessary; shortening it up to 1/3-1/2 of what you currently have will greatly help the stiffness. Beefing up the spine would also be highly recommended.

yea i see what your saying. i dont think it should efect it , a shrinker strecher has what like 150 to 200 pounds of pressure?its based off a c clamp which is designed to take pressure like that and its 1/2'' steel im sure i wont run into any problems. but if it would be a press then that would be a different story. and its deep because i dont know what kinda projects ill come up with in the future. im hoping one day to build a airplane but who knows. but thanks for the input.
