Just got my old ladys blessing to sell my late model daily and use the cash to get my 51 Chevy truck(the blue one) rolling as a daily. So by summer time I should be rolling it with a fresh 235, open drive three speed, 54 passenger car front suspension, juiced, on some four bar flippers, looking a lot like the green truck below! I'm stoked, I hope to never own a late model vehicle ever again(except the wifey's).

Amen to that, man!!! Thanks for the compliment.

hahahaA '69 Cadillac just came into the local junk yard this week though, and I might wanna snag the 472 out of it.... I think it might be enough to move 'er. The old flatty is kool, but its pretty tired. She smokes a lot, and I think she might've picked up drinkin again. :D

  6. This was my daily driver until 2009 when I finally got Hagerty insurance on it. Injected 5.0 and 6 speed tremec transmission with all late model comforts. A/C, cruise control, power windows and great brakes. 20 mpg and fun to drive.

i was driving this as a daily until the snow came, i know i am weak for not balling in the snow but the buick would be really bad in the snow and too much power, plus they dont spare the salt in the great white north.

did you know the slant six engine was originally a tractor engine that chrysler bought the design for and they realized it could not fit for being so tall, so an ingenious design engineer at chrysler leaned the motor over and the rest is history, hence the term leaning tower of power!

I built my 65 to be able to drive daily, But I don't trust other drivers on icy roads and the salt has been excessive this year. So we are waiting for some clear roads to get it back out soon. I really miss driving it

My '53 gets 6,000 miles a year on it. Just changed the vacuum wiper to electric.... NOW they work no matter what! I change up the wheels to suit my moods.

Now that's an interesting choice. How did you decide to do that?

Are you going to throw the solid axle under a '54 coupe to tow behind the truck to the strip?

My daily driver for 50 years, just turned 478,000 that I put on it. It showed up on Google Earth in the parking lot at work, just like the other picture. It's pretty much in the middle of the parking lot picture.

My daily 60. The hot moms at the grocery store can't get enough (I think...). When it's a daily, you get your old car in more trouble than it oughta be in...4" to spare 'tween me and the tree.
