The second line uttered on the show was "We have to get it done in two weeks!"

Hope that doesn't mean it's going to be just like every other fake drama auto show.

Typical bullshit "reality" show. It's more about drama than restoring the car.

  6. Exactly. :( Too bad---neat yard, decent folks....but all the scripted drama and deadlines...:rolleyes: Somebody should hand the producers a dictionary and tell them to look up the definition of 'restored'

Yeah, I'd love to see a well done show like this. I'll give it a chance to get to where I'd like it. Hopefully they will figure it out.

  9. Yeah, less drama, more work/effort/education would be nice.

    Nice Charger!

I don't understand why everything has to be done in a week on every reality show.

    +1...

Imagine it in other walks of life... "Tonight on Top Cats of Brain Surgery: The crew struggles with a lack of proper tools, while Doctor Ted comes to grips with the fact he has 38 seconds to complete the labatomy using needle nose pliers and Jim Beam for anesthesia."

It's gonna be hard to watch another episode of this mess. Since when did a full restoration become getting a car just nice enough to look decent? I don't know that I'd want to do business with DVAP based on this show.

Definately not must see tv! Right out of the box they identified the '65 Chevelle 4 door as a '64. Then, when his dad rolled up in the red '65 El Camino they identified that as a '64 as well. This is obviously geared towards a crowd who has, at the very most, a casual interest in old cars.:(

Just as I suspected, Another lame show from the Discovery channel. Why don't they even TRY to get anything technical right? I mean someone that works there must know something about cars and could have set the producers straight on the many things they got wrong.

What a waste of time, old man running around like he owns the world, son that doesn"t have a clue how to run a shop. and of course they had to have a grouchy old dude, that didn"t work either. Paint job looked like an Econo bake job. Only thing good about the show was it didn"t last longer. The T-Bird shouldn" have brought $2500 but the magic of Tv.

Ha,ha I think his name was Billy this time around, I thought he was going to lose his job for leaving at quit time in the middle of the paint job:eek:

Did the son say the bird had redline tires when he was anouncing about it at the auction???

Like someone else said I would watch it again to give it a chance and if nothing else, just to see the vintage tin.

One more thing,Isnt this where Boyd bought the junk yard dog 56 chevy?
