I'm from Iowa, but moved to ColoRODo in 1966...and wrote two books about growing up there, going to HS and driving a three year old '57 Chevy in 1960...

For all those that left Iowa now would be a great time to come back. I think we might break 30 degrees for the first time in a couple weeks.

It might even start to melt the inch of ice off my road.

The Mayor of my small town sent me a letter a few years ago, asking if I'd come back to live there and perhaps start a business...I sent him a copy of my first book and asked him, after reading it, if he'd like me to move back. I never heard from him...I'm assuming his answer was no.

Spent 2 weeks in Ames over summer. Does that count?

Oh yeah. I bought a car in Carroll too. I think that makes me a local.

There are likely as many people from Iowa that live in Iowa.

Corn, pigs, and talented youth-- Iowa's great exports. Guess you know where that puts me-untalented.
    Mason City here.

Grew up in Goldfield(700 people), North central Iowa. Moved to ColoRODo the day after I finished college at Buena Vista in 1989 to snowboard, then off to AZ. Still have a house there with two of my brothers so I can visit and pheasant hunt. A few years ago the Governor sent me a letter asking me to consider moving back.

It was 72 degrees today here in Scottsdale.

The flathead in my 29 came out of Clear Lake (Ventura), the body came from Minn.
