I've recently decided that I've been quite the douche for shunning the little guys, and I'm interested to see what others might be running in their rides. I've been interested specifically in seeing Iron Dukes and if anyone is running any M151 motors, like they had in the old Jeeps. Anything and everything is cool though! :)

Just got this 59 Ford Popular (avitar pic) a while back. Was built in England by Russ Davies,Pinto 4 cycl with weber 2 barrel,C-4 with a Capri posi rear. Still right hand drive. Have just got started on fixing little things so not all clean and shiny under the hood yet.Gonna be my driver this summer ,with gas prices supposed to go thru the roof the banger may be just the ticket.

Ha! No kidding on the gas prices. I just traded in my Lemon Law Saturn Vue (4 beater "hybrid" POS) for a new big honkin' v8 Tundra....pain will shortly ensue XP

That Pinto engine looks great in there! That's another engine I've been curious about, to see what folks have done with them. Did you have to pay out the yang to get your ride shipped over here?

What are the specs on the motor? What did it originally come out of?

If I can bag a cool 4 banger, I'm going to try and snag some of those Webers at Carlisle or Hershey this year.

Quad 4 motor. This one came out of a sand rail, got it cheap! Look for them in Olds. Check out Quad 4 Rods site for all needed info.

I had a Jensen-Healey motor(Lotus 907) in my roadster for a few years. Before that a 2000 Pinto. After that the 32 Plymouth with the Y block head. Then the flathead 32 Plymouth. Working on a 26 Dodge Bros. with a Morton & Brett OHV head now. Do I get a weird award?

man, those little engines seem to be bad ass...and the look is pretty rad, too.

I tell you, though...it seems like any engine I set my sights on is hard to find, and if I do, it's at least several Benjamins  I'm adding this one to the list for potential candidates for my A build.

Sorry I do not have many pictures, I lost them when my old computer died.

To make it fit was a lot of work. Had to add about 1 inch to the middle of the head, move all the mounting holes, move the push rod holes. Then make a new cam, because the valve layout is different. That is most of what it takes.

Here is a picture of the other side of the engine.

I plan on using a Mercruiser 470 4 banger... theres some pretty extensive threads on this site... a 3.7 liter 4 banger will be a huge torque monster..

I love the Ford 2.3 turbo motors but the quad 4 converted into rwd looks like old european race motor to me.
