its a 55 210 with a fiberglass flip nose, otherwise its stock. i'm gonna be going full force at this car over the next few months.

the car came with a 350 and a turbo 350 transmission. for now i'm going to run the th350 trans, but eventually i will be looking for a muncie 4 speed, probably when either the engine or the transmission blows :D

first things first i'll clean it up a little in the engine bay, and fab up some side mounts for the engine, and go right through everything to get it road worthy.

Pictures like those reinforce the notion that I need to sell my projects and get back into another '55.Have fun with that!

Could you post a pic of the tilt nose hinge setup? I have a 55 Chevy truck that I am considering a tilt front end on and it may or may not help .
    Thanks

it will definitely be some sort of gasser, i dont plan on doing a straight axle right away. i plan on having the car a long time, so i'll run the stock setup for now with beefier springs up front, i'll get to the straight axle when it comes time to start replacing balljoints and things like that.

Holy shit! I think I looked at this car a couple of years ago. Did it come from Iowa? Here are the pics I took. Same red engine bay. Same missing tail light. Same rusty master cylinder. Same tilt frontend with hole in the hood. Same bar. Here are a few pics I took:

HOLY SHIT! thats my car! small world huh? i have the old iowa title for it too. i wonder what happened to the big block, the rear bumper and the smoothies...

do you have any more info on the car?

from the rest of the documentation i got with the car it went to hooksett, NH, the guy i bought it from was out of new hampshire as well, so the guy in hooksett must have stripped the car.

wow i still cant believe this, thanks for the pictures!!

BTW: the car still has the three broken studs on the drivers side hahahahahaha

Looks like where I was a year and a half ago I will be interested in your progress. Just got done installing a front end slide and tilt setup on my 57. The front end is the original heavy steel and slides forward 8" so the fenders clear the body then tilts. The aluminum blocks are industrial slide bearings with a carbon steel shaft.

    Good Luck<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
