Took the Wes Moody pic from #8260 and dropped it into Photoshop. Clicked on Auto Color Correction:

Tell me about it, that's the car and the look I would love to build for the street, if I could, that I have told you about. I guess I can live vicariously through others.
Imagine going down the interstate to a gathering @ 65mph, with a 5:12 gear set in the Halibrand with a mild set of muffler inserts in the headers, with your behind 4" off the ground.

What a great looking modified Bill! Reminds me of the great looking coupes that used to define what short track racing was about!

Yeah 3 wide is cool been going there for years. What I'm talking about is the fresh build it just gets me all worked up. Nothing like a freshly minted modified coupe or sedan!

Anyone recognize these cars or location? This could be the old track in West Bratleboro VT?

S/360 was for the first big IBM computer that was geared towards smaller businesses (as in not GM or Xerox) the System 360 which hit the market in the early to mid 60's.

I believe one of the owners of the race car was an IBM employee and he chose that number.

Got this info from Crystal Snape whose family owned the # 26 which is a 1937 Ford Flathead driven by Lionel Arel. This is West Brattleboro Vt in 1955. Thanks Crystal !!

Pete, Don Diffendorf didn't run Danbury. PS Did you know Danbury was a closed club and not anyone could race there? They payed good purses and they kept the invaders out.

    Guys,
Thanks for all your complimentary comments on my project, although don't tell your wives that you're looking at porn because of me! Seriously, I'm just stealing as many ideas from cars I remember from the late 60s - early 70s as I can....and adding a few of my own too, I guess.

Ridin dirty....thanks for that Mustang clip. What a riot!

    Bill
