Been posted here before. that happened in Sturgis and is a typical hack job cowboy hotrod from Wyoming. (sorry Stutz but you know the type). What you don't see is my pal randy (R&D Chassis) walk over after he gets out and hand the guy hs business card
I see more bad welding and fabrication on race cars than on anything else, aside from student art projects.
This was the aftermath of my boss's brother's nova at ATCO. He was running a 548 Chevy (502 .060 over and 4.25 crank) and had just put on pro-chargers. The car was not at all set up to run the 1300+ hp he was cranking. The welds were from someone else. He's now building a real chassis. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbIqwqqZNtg
How did I know it was going to be the 3rd gen. Camaro before the epic fail happened? I knew a guy that had a similar thing happen to him when he tried to race me years ago.. We lined up and upon take off I noticed I left him behind like he was standing still... well he was. Turns out the aluminum lowering blocks he was using cracked and his third member was facing the rear of the car, with U-bolts, gear oil and pieces of aluminum scattered all over the road..
I wonder if they have an opening for a tech inspector there Trent?? That looks like one of those Trans-maros from the trailer court.
