few very old pics of the 64 before it started sitting and had the front end torn off by me...hopefully soon it will roll slow and low once again.

Not super low, I have gone that route with other cars and it was no fun. This was a coil and a half all the way around.

My '40 Chevy. It has a Camero front with chassis engineering rear springs and lowering blocks (and a notch in the frame).

  8. awesome man! a good buddie of mine is building a 51 chev that he wants to sit probably as low. do you have any bigger pics (the ones you have up i wasn't able to click)

  9. I don't really want to start anything but have always felt driving a lowered car is all about attitude and style. no different than driving a hot rod.
Bags and juice are fun and practical way for posers to get to a show and lay frame.
That's only my opinion and am not saying there is anything wrong with looking cool but driving is much better than just looking at a bunch of cars in a parking lot

heres mine, I got it out of the driveway, but need a ramp to get back in.

it has a 6" z using 2x3 under the cab retaining the camaro subframe down swept design, then back up to stock level behind the cab. A 6" c-notch that is not being utilized. Almost all of the suspension is under it so if i did want to bag it i could lay the frame about a half an inch down from the doors(to go 5" lower I do have to remove some more lower body material). The bottom of the grill is 2" from the ground, I'm gonna do some work to make it more practical... but it looks so rad

    from nowhere...

About as low as one of these will get without bags or major frame/suspension work, and still be able to drive...without scraping MOST obstacles, anyway.

Bottom of fender/running board is 4" above the ground. Clears most road obstacles and speed bumps just fine. Second picture is in the grass, so it looks a tad lower.

Here's my '59. 3" lowered springs, that settled a little more. Not crazy low, but I can't stick my head under the car without a jack. :D Rides great. Big speed bumps require me driving over them at a slight angle, but can be done straight on... I just scrape some exhaust pipes a little,

I hope our 65 Special isn't to new for this, but it came out lower than I planned, but it still cruises down the road smooth as a dream though.

And the 58 came out pretty low, I was trying to get the stance right, the rear is is just worn out which lets it sit low....

Not super low, but I do still manage to scrape my pipes on driveways.

My OT car is another story, way too low on coilovers, just replaced the tranmission pan due to an unfortunate encounter with a manhole cover.

This was mine. It was a little too low and drug a bunch. Just sold it so not my problem any more. Until I get another and lower it too much again.

This photo is a little deceiving because of the grass.

This one shows the actual height a little better.
