This is probably one of the best magazine color photos taken at Ontario California from the Car Craft pictorial.

Hancock, Holly & Beyer (sounds like a law firm, don't it?) and their 57 283 G/MP.

This is an awesome shot! I'm noticing a lot of M/P cars ran tunnel rams. Was it stated in the NHRA rules that you had to keep them covered with sheet metal? I like these earlier scoops, the later snorkel ones not so much.

Yes Joe, if you're referring to being covered by a hood scoop. Modified Production was originally intended to fill in the gap between the Stock and the Gas class. Covering exposed carburetors helped keep the stock appearence.

Along that line, I think there was a ?/MP camaro from the northwest with Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe on the door. Might have been green.

I have photos of the Opel and the roadsters, but since they were not "Modifieds" they were not included. Actually, I hesitated about including the Camaro because it was so "new".

I know, it seems we've got to be careful around here. Everything is suppose to be pre 66 or so. I'm always afraid that the "powers to be" are going to shut us down for all the newer stuff. This is a great venue so I hope that they look the other way and let us do our own thing. ;)
I think everyone here is pretty much on the same wave link. It's all about history, cool cars and going fast. It's all good!
