I'm with toast, daily or bi-daily progress reports. Should make a list of what needs to be done to drive it. Post the list and check the items off as you finish things, that'd be fun b/c we could see how things are going.

 

Just remember that "temporary" things become "permanent" things, for some reason in hot rods this happens a lot, so finish it the way you really want.

 

Deadlines lead to disappointment and half-assed work.

That being said,.... thrash away and get anyone you can to come help. We have a bad habit around here of waiting till the last minute to do what needs to be done. More than one all nighter-fighter has been pulled to get a car rolling under its own steam.

The only thing that really ever has slowed us down is running out of money.

BTW I love T coupes and that one looks like a pretty good project.

 

Well this is where I stand right now and I'm going to drive this thing to LSR dammit!

Well, I'm making sure I'm doing it right... nothing I've done yet has been temporary. I'm building it like I'd expect from a rod shop.

Here's some more updates... don't look like much, but I had to get back on the garnish moldings and redrill a bunch of holes, there are 11 screws per garnish molding and I only had about 4 in each on the other pics. So I finished them and put a piece of 1/2" mdf near the firewall for the fuse box and other electronics!

Made the mount that goes under the dash...

Looks great so far, very nice craftsmanship.

 

Take your time and do it right, if you don't finish your car by round up come with out it. It's a fun time either way, I say you can bust your ass and get it done though. I had 3months before my car had to debut at my wedding and the only way I made it was with alot of great friends and many late night in the garage.
