Happy New Years everyone! Its the first day of the year, and that means registration is now officially open for the 10th Annual Lonestar Round Up! info at http://www.lonestarroundup.com I can't believe this year marks a decade since we started the show - what an amazing ride, and thanks to Ryan and the HAMB folks for all the support over the years. None of us could have imagined back then what this would have turned into today - so many great times, memories and friends made across the years. From all the Kontinentals, thank you for everything - We promise to make this year a really special one, you aren't gonna want to miss it. The countdown begins today - get out in the garage and get thrashin'
I guess Im a dumbass, I clicked on the registeration page and its still stating registration starts jan-1. where do I go from there??
Funny, I was just driving the 36 today and daydreaming about the drive to the Round Up. This show has become my favorite show of the year and I start looking forward to the next one as soon as I start the drive home from Austin. I am trying to get this years group assembled for the road trip. I am planning on driving the ACME van and I'm trying to talk Mrs. ACME into driving her new 57 Ranchero, but we'll see on that. I think my buddy Jeb is going and I'm trying to get a few more people and their cars confirmed. For those of you Southern California folks that have not drivin out yet; you need to do it. Each year this trip becomes is a total adventure. There is the road trip out to Austin, then the pre-show stuff in town, the actiual show (Most awesome indeed) and then the road trip home. Its like three adventure in one. Plan it and go. It will get to you and you too will think about it all year long and look forward to going again and again.
I will be there....I got the bug last year! I had a great time last year! Don't know what I will drive yet but it will be old....
Cant wait, this was the best week of the year, hopefully leaving the pontiac at home and driving the flathead 40 sedan.....
Coming in from Maryland lookin' forward to it! Check is in the mail today. Annapolis, Maryland National Guard Armory-Jalopyrama #8- www.jalopyrama.com
Dang 1963 and older....I figured anything that was Hamb friendly would be allowed. Looks like my '64 Imperial is out. I might still drive it down there.
This will be my 4th in a row. Last year I went by myself and met some cool dudes, some from here, some at the show. Always a blast. I try to get a poster for each year as well. I really want to get my 55 4door going but not so sure of a place to work on it between that time. If not I'll be in the six-tres!
Is it possible that this is the biggest and grandest show in the Hot Rod world!? Speculation from reading several reviews suggest so And on a midwest level I am confident of this! No matter, thanks for a great show guys and look forward to seeing you there.
