This thing is so wrong i love it.

I think you should have angled the winshield a lot less, but thats an easy fix i guess.
It needs colored plexi hood, juice, sidepipes, a set of mags or steelies w/ spider caps painted body color w/ fades, flare the rear arches to match the fronts, "mild" panel paint in pearl, im thinkin satin and tons of scroll striping.
    The thing could be awesome.
JamesD are you seeing this or am i completley gone overboard?

  5. Welcome, but you might want to reconsider posting non traditional Rod or Kustom material on here and also using the phrase "rat-rod" won´t win you many friends. What you might call a tough crowd! Nice technique though.

The "after" shot is a definite improvement. Is that a "Rat Rod" Bentley? (Sorry James, had ta say it! :D)
Welcome to the HAMB Vonzemo. Got any '40s or '50s styled work?

  7. yes they are, 18 inch all around, didn't want to lose to much of the ride with bigger wheels and more meat on this looks killer!!! 9s on the front and 10s on the back, we had to do a little cosmetic surgery to pne of the rear wheel wells, not much, just plastic!

  8. It says so on the pic!

    Happy Christmas fellas.

  9. Thanks for the comment and also for the "heads up" James.
    Lots of purest's huh?
    I can definitely respect that.
Im really into all things cars but im particularly fond of muscle cars and Rods and Customs. I know my way around the garage, had plenty of grease under my fingernails and turned many a wrench over the years but these days Im strictly a digital hot rodder. I really get charged by creating images that push the limits of imagination, reality, expense, etc., but keeping things interesting and fun as well. Sometimes my art isnt always about the car, and you might find something else in the pic that draws your attention to provoke certain thoughts or emotions. Thats what art is supposed to do.
    OK enough of that BS.
OahuEli, In answer to your question regarding any '40s or '50s styled work.
    Yes I do, in fact.
I did this piece as a little dipiction of two versions of extreme badness.
Anyone who lives in the deep south of the U.S. should be all too familiar with the Tornado, or as we call it here in Texas, the "Twister". A terrible destructive force of nature that can drop from the sky without warning, and leave behind it death and destruction beyond belief.
And whats badder than a chopped and dropped 50 merc with frenched headlights, custom grille, chameleon paint and a pin stripe flame job!
Together they're a pretty mean pair of Texas Twisters. :D

    Vonzemo, very cool work.
Love the Texas Twister shot, really effective use of color against the grey backdrop.

You might want add a driver behind the wheel with a scared sh*tless face!

    Welcome to the HAMB.

I think Vonzemos Merc and the second shot in One Crusty One's post would both make great wall art for a shop.

Can someone play with the tire/wheel combo on my '40? I'm contemplating original 16" black wheels with bias ply white walls. Also open to all of your suggestions and creativity! Thanks!

  17. Thank you for the nice comments about my truck picture. We had a benefit auction for a friend in need, two framed pictures sold for $50.00 a piece. Could have sold more. If interested, I will need to chat with Scott Norton, who owns the copy rights to the photoshop picture.
Check out my other photographs by clicking on my name.
    Have a happy holidays.
Here is a photo taken during that same photo shoot.

Ouch. It's possible. We were sure it's a boy, and at the ultrasound the other day the doc said it's most definitely a girl. He said he could be wrong, but if he is, there's not much down there. Can photoshop fix that? Poor kid takes after his father.

Hold it's nose closed and blow real hard into the mouth.
Sometimes you can get the stem to pop out of the apple.

I think it will work as long as you lower the car, "Lakes" style. I've seen pictures of chopped salt flats Camaros and they look pretty wicked. Here's a lowered version.

This will be a glass-man's nightmare even more, I think.

You may be able to keep the rear glass intact and just chop the roof at the front. That gives a flat profile instead of an arced one.

The side glass is curved on this model, isn't it?
Does it gap at the front when rolled partway up?

Then there's the windshield to consider...

VR since the back glass looks like an early Sting Ray to me, from the side, maybe a split window like a '63 would work better?
