LOL those tires had 5 inch sections missing! They looked like they used to be on a lawn trailer that sat outside for 50 years LOL...you deserve some kind of award for driving on the oldest tires.

Not what I would have done, not how I would have done it. That being said, you're doing it and you like it and that's really all that matters.

The number of posterior-cranially challenged people here who just want to bash boggles my mind. Just keep working on it and make it safe and be happy with what you've done. I'm impressed.

Yeah, I have been driving the shit out of it, I bought a sewing machine figured out how to sew haha, so I even did my own upolstry, I still have to do the door panels, and side panels but the seat looks great, I'll post some more pics this week.

 

It looks great. It kind of surprised me how well the wood body turned out. That would be a great alternative for a lot of us who can't afford steel -- and have the cool looks of wood, and have the creative flexibility for cool shapes.

 

I will admit, you may have missed the mark of a cabinetmaker but you turned that thing into something MUCH better than it was. I get a Depot Hack vibe from the body. Good job on escaping the darkside, now save up for some hardwoods for the next itineration.

Sorry to hear about the divorce. One thing about a car, you can leave it outside all winter and it'll still be there come springtime. The same cannot be said about a woman.

 

Great project. One thing I have learned over the years... You get pissed of at the car you don't have to apologize. You get pissed off at the woman you will be apologizing for a life time..... and I don't like to apologize.
