Holy smokes! is that the direction he wants to go? Reason I ask is that we finished a 56 Pontaic Starchief awhile back and I have a complete set of stainless for it. I was thinking that the side trim would work beautifully on a shoebox with the spear running backward...

This is just great! Hats off to all those who were/are so generous with their time and resources. I've said it more than once- the HAMB has renewed my faith in mankind.

  11. I'd be willing to bet that the hook is set for life. What an awesome thing to do for a kid (& his dad). You guys are awesome!!!

Jack may become THE shoebox guru someday. Maybe he can help me someday when/if I ever do a '49 coupe...

Side note: Is this one for sale?

Javier, I hope its okay that I Photoshopped Jacks car, using his concept as a guideline. That young fella has a good eye for cars!

When I was in high school I wanted one of those...till I got a chance to drive one. Had to drive it about 40 miles. Those things are not an easy car to drive. The steering wheel is about the size of a 55 gallon drum, maybe bigger, seemed to get bigger the further I drove and felt a lot like one when I was driving the car. That thing kicked my butt and made me decide an old Ford was not the car for me. They sure don't make um like they used to...for dang good reason. Hope the kid REALLY likes it.
    Cheers
