I bought the 64 Savoy for the clutch pedals and sway bar for my 65 9 pass Belvedere II. The frame and rockers were solid, so I,m going to do a sedan delivery with the 64. Thinking about giving the rear of the door glass frame a foward stance as on a Nomad. Hardtop lovers don't hate, the 2dr parts car was completely gone, frame rails, floors, quarters, lower fenders, etc; it had more mud in it than any car I have had in my 51 years.

I love wagons, my dad owned several as I was growing up. My favorite was a '64 Olds wagon we had when I was about 17.
I just picked this one up a few days ago. Mine isn't as vintage as most of the ones here but in about a year it will be an "antique".
'87 Chevy Caprice Classic Estate 9 passenger wagon. I spotted this jewel on the day it was set to the road, they didn't even have the For Sale sign on it yet. One owner, 83K, 5.0, AOD, and loaded. Minor rust, very good interior, runs and drives great.
Other than cleaning it up I want to change out the wheels and tires. I've got a set of narrow white walls on chrome wheels, I'm gonna see how they'll look.

I liked your idea of the sedan delivery and just had ta Photoshop it. Wasn't sure which route you plan on taking with it but here's a gasser version.

I'd like to do that to my 54 but I have several extra wagon doors so I can stretch them to the length of the 2 dr cars. I'm also looking at leaning the door post like on a nomad.
I do like the look of the 54 as a 2 door!

I drive my '67 Nova on pump gas on the street every chance I get. I also run it on C12 race gas, as "Pandora's Box", at the track. I get around 18 mpg out of my 408 cu.in. sbc built by Oddy's Dynotuned Engines (in NY) thanks to an Art Carr (in TX) built 700R4 overdrive. This "longroof" does the quarter in the upper 10's. I don't think that's too bad for a multi-purpose vehicle.
***Oh by the way, did I mention that I tow with it too!***

Whats up with the 58 Nomad on page #1641, it is a tu-door, custom made? I thought all Nomad 58's were four-doors? Looks damn slick. ~sololobo~

There were two door '58s. They were called Yeoman and they were a very basic delivery vehicle. A lot of them didn't even have backseats. The real Nomad (except the later strictly nametag ones) were only from '55 thru '57.

I think you mean post no. 1660. My guess would be that it's a Handyman somebody dressed up with Nomad trim.

  23. I was wondering if anybody would notice....It's a one off made from a wagon, a 4 door and a bunch of custom work. It's a beautiful car and the workmanship is top notch. Sorry, those are the only pics I have....:)

My latest purchase, About as rare as they come. 61 Pontiac Tempest Safari wagon. 4 cylinder, automatic with A/C. Purchased in Tucson Az. 1st pics are in Tucson, last pic is it sitting in my friends storage yard waiting resto. I really like the 3rd pic. You can see the reflection in the back window of my 61 Tempest Cp sitting in the street.

That is a truly awesome looking wagon! The chop makes it look mean, and the two tone sets it off.
