Congratulations, rare to find something like that these days!

  4. Just now found my issue of Dec.'63 Hot Rod. The '40 appeared to be red in the color photo coverage and I always thought it was. Turns out the caption describes it as brilliant Sunkist Orange. Anyone know the whereabouts of Treva Phillips, the model shown peering out the passenger side door? She looks good, in a 60's kind of way. Wonder where she is today......Don.

If you get the itch to change ANYTHING sell it to someone that will leave it just as it is and buy yourself something else.
I will OK it if you decide to lower it however. It does need an altitude adjustment.

That car deserves to be restored to how it appeared in Hot Rod Magazine. It represents a snapshot of hot rodding in 1963 and needs to be restored and preserved.

    Nice find...I'm jealous!

  28. X2. This exactly right. When you have a piece of history like this, you are merely the current caretaker and it really falls on you to preserve that history for future generations.
