Art & Inspiration The Photoshop thread to end all Photoshop Threads!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Pair O' Dice, Oct 10, 2008.

  1. I just got this 37 Cjevy delivery Saturday and want to paint it 60's Corvette Marina blue, which on the C-6 is jet blue, a small row of flames coming out of the hood side vents, and roll with 2" whites, chrome steelies and bullets. Another wheel choice is blue painted steelies, chrome trim rings and 37/38 caps. I will be dropping the front a couple of inches too. Sits a wee bit high right now.

I would appreciate if you photoshop pros can give me some ideas. Thanks

Been trying to figure out what to do with the wheels on my 51. The moons are great, but the wheels underneath are the old turbins (ala General Lee) and are also uni-lug. Damn things always want to loosen up, and are a PIA when you have to take them off. Not to mention the PIA of pulling the moons to check or change air pressures.

Was thinking of a wheel change. May still put the moons back on from time to time, but want a wheel that is drag strip and street friendly that goes with the look of the car. Maybe some of the dark salt flats or something similar. Any suggestions or photoshops would be appreciated.

A respectful motion for reconsideration, with additional pictures to work from, if desired:

Here you go, Grapp. I grabbed a nice 1953 County Squire photo from the Internet and went to work.

I started with a four-door for two reasons: a) it was the nicest profile photo I could find, and b) the front door width is right. I'm not sure if the two door wagons used the same door or not.

I decided to go with an extra-cab look as a completely vertical back pillar looked too stiff for a sporty Country Squire Ranchero.

Narrowed the loft of the roof a bit, but did not chop it. The pickup bed should have the opposite inside wall showing a bit, but you get the idea.

After looking at the final result, I think I created a gussied-up Aussie Ute! I believe a ute was actually produced, minus the wood trim.

Two more versions of the Country Squire Ranchero.
A bit more balanced, I think.

O'Photoshop God can you do some of your visual magic on my Buick. I've been thinking about a new look for her.
maybe Doing a flake job on the roof, in either Silver, Blue, burgandy, or even a purple maybe? and a set of reverse chrome steel wheels with no caps. What do ya think.

After doing Slim Tempos wagon-to-pickup conversion last week (post #5554) I got to thinking about Flat Foots Buick & had to do it. I think the "El Lectra" as Claymart called it looks pretty cool IMHO.

Thanks. I'd like to see a real conversion like this, maybe with one of the old Buick aluminum v-8s up front. 215 c.i.d?
