you don't TELL your wife, you discuss it with her. If you don't have sufficient funds in your "hot rod" account, then there really shouldn't be a question. Hobbies or avocations should not use money allocated for food, mortgage payments, college, utilities or the other staples and necessities of your daily existence. I have a lot of "stuff" - but my wife doesn't budget for cars, planes, tools or any other "man toys" - that's probably why I'm still working for a living at this age. Your wife is your partner...not your mom...you don't ask your partner if you can acquire something, you discuss it with them - and, if it is financially prudent and does not use funds directed for other purposes, then a decision can be made. dj
3 Things I can buy with no crap from my wife Tools because thats how I make my living . Cars because she is more of a car nut than I am. Guns because I just can
so far i bought 6 cars wo permission, but she is asking where the money comes from. told her i dont buy tons of little crap, save for the big prize, but i will cut back on food to get a car
Whoa there, bit serious ............ A fine lesson I'm the head of my house !!! Sadly, she is the neck, and tells me which way to turn. Thats after 47 years of marriage Rod
shes gone,, i have the kids , so i can buy wt i want ,as long as theres food on the table and a roof over there heads
Why is is that women, once married, want to change their hubby...??? Mine changed me for the worse...she's now living alone (and so am I --hurray) and I don't have to put up with any woman BS...I buy what I want (no discussion needed), go where I want (no reason needed), when I want (24 hours a day)...problem solved. Stude Dude We must be related Seriously Cars and old stuff in general was always a big sore spot with the wife’s. It didn’t matter if it was my side generated cash or not…..the envy / ??? was always there.
It did not take me but 2 seconds to realize just how true this is, AND this really only applies if you really give a shit about being forgiven. In reality they will most likely screw up something and make it wash within a week of the purchase, so hell, just let it simmer, it will wash out in a week or so. I can do my own laundry for a week and make my own lunch and dinner for a week for a new project. You sir are a social genius.
Thank you!! that's how I got the '54, the '69 Cad, '48 Plymouth, '73 Beetle, '97 Cad and so on. 10 years later I'm still married. I'm happy sometimes.
Well this has certainly used a little bit of space for no purpose. I suggest this be shut down, save some other people the time they may waste.
"Just make sure you tell your Wife before you tell someone you're going to sell her vehicle." Fixed that for ya...
