Why not just change the whole hood?

The front lip is different and it won't interface with a '60-'61 grille.

The most surprising thing about that Falcon is the fact that someone went through the trouble to make it a five lug.

I figured id post this up here, hopefully ill get some response. I took the grill and headlight trim off my 68 falcon and the damn tabs that the screws go into fell apart, i dont have a single good one. Where the hell can i order some before i attempt to rig something up.

Oh yea, does anybody make sheet metal parts for the later falcons? looking for a fender and possibly some other stuff.

My youngest son just put his 64 on the road this evening, he did most ALL of this car himself including rebuilding the 302 he swapped in place of the 6, replacing both rear quarters, welding up the trim holes, body, paint, and buffing.

I am pretty stoked with what he has done with it, he turns 21 on Saturday...

here is my comet so far, i have been going for the mild kustom thing, everything is shaved, all emblems, reverse lights, 5.60 13's gold top gloss black body, im gonna put the chrome on soon, block and bag the back and then lace paint on top and maybe watson style scallops and stuff, the inside is white tuck n' roll with 1 inch pleats and shiny gold piping, also putting in the engine out of FLAKED62MERC's in soon, im gonna paint it gloss black with gold pinstriping, but not too cluttered, it has fishtail tips I got off a shovelhead at a swapmeet but might do bellflower tips after i do my exhaust. here are some pics so far, still have a ways to go. this is my daily driver for school, work, commute etc.

    39 Ford,
Looks like your son has done an out-standing job on his 64. If i was close to you'll i would show him how to make custom door panels. All in all very ,very good job. tell him to keep up the good work.

    Rare 32,
Love the sedan delivery, had a 62 in late 69-70 with a hopped up 260 and 4-speed, 2-v carb. Engine came out of a 63 comet that was ntl. reacord holder in P-stock for years. Come to find out ,it had a roller cam in it and no one ever caught it during a protest.
Give a Fat-Back sandwich if i still had it or one like it.

It has '63 taillights. Cool couch, it looks like that nook was made for it.
