Found out about this 32 on Thanksgiving night from a friend who knew the owner. Said he might be interested in selling it so I jumped on the chance and I got it. Been in the garage in the same spot since 1977. Does anybody recognize this car?? It has blue tinted windows, juice brakes, blue vinyl interior and a filled top. Today we went over and pulled it out and loaded it up to get it home. The previous owner put the banger in it because he wanted to restore it back to original. The last pic is after I got the front end put back on. So what do ya think?
I don't know what my plans are yet. When I first saw it I thought it was a stocker but after pulling her out I realize that someone has played with her a bit. See the holes in the rear fenders for what look like 50 pontiac taillights?
You are right, the front brakes are still mechanical, the rear are juice and it came with the drums and backing plates to do the front.
Congrats man. Nice find! Not that it matters but can I ask what you gave for it & what your plans are?
No, there is no master cylinder. Seems like at some point somebody was starting to convert it over and stopped.
If you decide to continue with the hydraulic brake conversion contact Richard Lacy at [email protected], (626) 338-2282 about the master cylinder mount he makes that uses the original pedals. I put one of my own design and manufacture into my '32 about 30 years ago but if I had to do it over I would go with Richards unit. Charlie Stephens
One of the coolest "no-waiting", cars ever. Thats what my buddy Doug calls 4-doors. What a great looking ride, congrats on this find my friend. ~sololobo~
