Welcome to the San Jose Classics & Customs Thread

Please note: In order to avoid confusion, we had to change the name from San Jose Autorama to San Jose Classics & Customs just in case you were wondering on another thread. The event name is the only thing that has changed.

The San Jose Classics & Customs indoor car show will be held at the San Jose Convention Center. Here we will have many types of Customs, Hot Rods, Suedes, Choppers, Muscle Cars, Classics, and Trucks from many car enthusiasts. This will be a family event for all so don’t miss out on this opportunity to experience some of the best cars, trucks and choppers that the bay area has to offer.

I'll be there! This show has been a long time coming back and I can't wait! I'll have my Catalina there and maybe my 62 Sport Roadster........if I get the rear seat back in time (hint hint).

Im there too. I'm happy to have a real car show here again. The show that was started by someone else for the last couple years ago flopped so hard because he didn't get it. I can't wait for this one.

EVERYONE IN SAN JOSE SUPPORT THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That someone else is an assholio, in my humble opinion.

Rogelio (RC Productions) is the real deal...a hot rodder since the 50's. His shop does all my upholstery work. He's a SUPER guy (and if I say enough nice stuff about him, maybe he'll finish my rear seat)......

Wish I would have heard about this sooner. I always check the NorCal Show thread but never saw this....

  14. I only found out this last week, it does not seem to have been really well publicized which is a shame, hope its a success.

The first year is always hard for any indoor show. I think Roger is doing it the right way. Unfortunately, there is another San Jose Promoter "MIKE HENNESSY" who has screwed it up for anyone trying to get an indoor show in San Jose again (don't get me started about MH, haha). GOOD LUCK this weekend to all involved.

Took my '62 Sport Roadster there, was told by some young weenie with a walkie-talkie that the car had to have less than 5 gallons of gas in it. I was honest and told him it probably had 10. He told me I couldn't come in due to the Convention Centers' safety rules.
So, I drove to a Precision Tune down the street and the guys were going to siphon out 5 gallons. As I went to pull in a stall, Poof! Power steering hose blew. I was able to nurse it back home (20 miles) and there she sits in my garage.

    Bummer.

I hate to type this, because i'd love nothing more than to have a great indoor show in san jose: it wasn't bad (i'd go again,) but i don't think it was good enough to live.

Had about a dozen cars that i dug. There wasn't consistency in what was presented. The challenge is that once you define the consistency that you're looking for, you have to fill it with that consistency. Seems like getting the right cars and the right number was a challenge.

So, compared to nothing--- it wasnt bad.

Compared to Blackie's show or what i've seen/heard of the new Long Beach show....... no comparison.
