I am looking for someone in Tonawanda, NY that could check out a car that I am interested in. I live in Ft. Worth, Tx and it's a bit too far to go if the car is junk. The car is a 1949 Buick and the pictures that I have don't tell me everything that I need to know. I would really appreciate the favor and would do the same for anyone interested in old cars in my area. Email me for his address and phone number if you think you could help me out on this deal. Thanks, Steve [email protected]
That is about 75 miles north of me and never go there, need to make a trip to Mac's in lockport soon so maybe I could find Tonawanda on my way. We have 6" of snow, they have 3' up there, probably it's buried right now. It's probably in swade41's vicinity, maybe he even know's something about it. Swade, you dug yourself out yet?
A little off the subject. Barry I just had to ask ,Where do you live? I am originally from OLEAN NY.I remember those nasty snow storms, yikes you guys got slammed according to the news.About the Buick there must be someone in the Buffalo area clubs that can help.Man I love those Buicks, they make great Customs.
Being as I'm in Texas, I didn't even think about the snow problem up there. Don't go slippin' and slidin' just to take a look at a car.
I would try contacting Street Classics in Olean NY for info, in this link. They show up at events out here, so probably at least the south towns events. http://www.ehow.com/list_5961634_buffalo_-new-york-car-clubs.html LLD, I am north of Jamestown, home of Der Kobblers car club, Lucille Ball, & highest taxes on the planet.
Thanks for the replies, folks. I'm going to put this car on hold for a bit as another one was found last night and looks pretty promising, and it's much closer. I will be back with an update later.
The one that was closer didn't pan out so I still would like for someone to take a look at this Buick for me, after the snow melts, of course. Thanks, Steve
Should be plenty of Buffalo guys on here, hell my last Suburban I went all the way out there to buy, but that was in April and I'm still 2 1/2 hours away.
I went to Mac's in Lockport Saturday, was going to contact you & take the camera but checked the thread & ... Snow wasn't so bad on the north side of the Megaplex where the tonawandas are on the map, so it may not be much of a brush off job.
