muahahahah, yes. there will be a dragfest this year, but new date, and a new location. i cant let the entire cat out of the bag yet because we are still ironing some of the details. the partners have agreed that the original idea of a REAL nostalgia drag race is what we want. we are shooting for an antique nationals that goes up to 65. the shifters will be handeling the car show. it will be heads up racing only. huge new things in the works. the location is freak'n awesome. i will give up some more info as soon as i get the thumbs up from the partners. zombie

okay, we are still working out the details. unfortunately, the massive amount of money that it cost to put it on at the last location made it to where we had to start bringing in cars that didnt really fit into our grand plan. after last year, the 3 of us had decided to call it quits. it wasnt fun, it cost a turd load of money, and we were wore out. randy races his harley at this location, so we looked into it for dragfest. this one will be back to our roots, and a good damn time. this what we have planned so far. the date is april 16 & 17. the location is avi casino in laughlin nevada. the asino is located on indian land, so we have a lot more freedom. they will be shutting down a 1/2 mile strip of the 2 lane highway in front of the casino. we will be running heads up only, full quarter mile, flag start. this will be traditional styled stuff only. nothing faster than about 8 seconds. there is no gaurd rail, so if ya get off the track youre gonna be mow'n down cactus in the desert. ha ha. the shifters are going to be handleing the car show 100%. the hotel/casino is backed right up to the colorado river, so bisically you will have: full 1/4 traditional drags, shifters hosted carshow, casino, hotel, and the colorado river all whithin walking distance. its gonna be fucking rad. im sure with the new date and location, the first year will be small, but we dont care because its gonna be a damn good time. which is what its all about for us. there's even talk of some vintage boats showing up. you can see the facilities here: www.avicasino.com

So does anyone know if Zombie got the date change nailed down yet? Last I heard, the location was jerking him around about the actual date.
I just got an email back from Avi Resort & Casino that was to be the host hotel that they still have no contract for dragfest. They have a contract with River Cruizers HOTRODS & HARLEY'S<SUP>© </SUP>2011 SPRING RUN on the original date of April 14-17
