That is such a work of art. I hope whoever has it doesn't destroy it to make a buck on parts. I wish you got your hand chopped off for stealing. this stuff wouldn't happen as often.

It would still happen because some people just cant help themselves but it would make it alot more difficult for them to steal without any hands.

wow, that's terrible, people put all that work into a beautiful car, and scumbags with no respect steal it. hopefully they drop off the ford unscathed somewhere after they realize they can't do anything with it.

I want to vomit. Why steal a car that can never be seen, driven, shown or sold without somebody immediately identifying it? I hope the scumbag is found, shot and pissed on!

Thought the same thing about the famous art that's been stolen over the years and is salted away in private collections. Art and jewel thieves have "taken custom orders" for decades and I really fear for us car guys. Will owners of top builds start turning down offers of magazine, etc. coverage? Sure puts a fuckin cramp in our hobby!

Its sick to think that some Billionaire is "ordering" whatever Rod or Custom he'd like to have and "gets off" on staring at it in his underground garage somewhere.

This starts a scary new thread of "Lost Hot Rods and Customs"!!

I'd wager it's in a container (Long Beach). Can't US Customs set up a full X Ray machine that would require all containers to pass through?

man that sucks, i wish they would have found the car with the truck. i know chris c talked to the lapd when his tbird got stolen, and he said they really dont use lojack much anymore, but i talked to LAPD Taskforce for Regional Autotheft Prevention (TRAP), and they told me a gps system, or lojack gps system works every single time! i just wish some of you guys with really nice finished cars would invest in some kind of tracking system! then maybe we can stop this from happening, or at least get these beautiful cars back where they belong!!!

Thanks for all of the comments... I really appreciate it... it helps... haven't slept .... this was definately a SHITTY day.

    UPDATE:
The truck was indeed found, minimal damage small hole in door to pop locks, ignition damage, possible disabling of the Onstar system. Detective says definitely "Pro" job.

I thought that maybe they wanted the truck & trailer, but the fact that they abandoned the truck but kept the car... kinda eliminates that theory. Especially since in an LA chop shop the truck is probably worth more then the car!

We will keep everyone posted ..... still hoping!!
