Thanks guys. It is good we live close, it's easier when I need help. The taillights are belair. The plate will be in the pan, but I am going to make a mouth like the grill opening. This way the rear of the truck mimicks the front. Here are some shots from when I was a little kid. It was about 1980-1981 when the truck was getting sub framed. It would not be back on the road until the late '80's.

The overall look of the truck is cool. Family history is cool too, and the fact that you can work on the same car your elders worked on is really neat. Just another reminder that we're just caretakers...

Thanks guys. I really enjoy working on this thing. I have had my kid out there helping. She is not a fan of the welder or the grinder. And she sounds like my mother when I tack without a helmet on.

All I can say is that's gonna be the cats meow when you're done! Very smooth and clean.

Work has been SLOW. The last month was spent getting my buddys gasser ready for the Billetproof drags. Then I had to get my Hudson ready for the road trip to Goodguys Charlotte. I have been back on it. I got the tailgate latches on last weekend, and I have started working on the taillights. I will keep everybody posted

No unfortunately no work on it for over a year. Too many customer cars, plus I chopped my Hudson in that time as well. I hope to get back on it when I finish my current customer car. It has been sitting way too long.

Thanks. Are you still coming over for Billetproof? If so, we'll have to meet up.
