The Wade Coupe is a '30 Model A Coupe that I've been building for a while now. There's a pretty detailed photo journal on the HAMB here:

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=336494

Stephen Hibbs at Squaresville Studios put together a video feature on the car, and was kind enough to share it with all of us through the technological wonder that is YouTube.

Since YouTube has a limit of around 10 minutes per video, it has been broken up into several parts. Each part has the same introduction.

Part 1 is an overview of the chassis, and Part 2 will concentrate on the beginning of chopping the top, which will be covered in depth. Part 3 shows the fitting of the '33/34 header and cowl parts. Part 4 covers welding the windshield area and figuring out the A-pillars. Part 5 shows building the A pillar and molding the upper cowl... etc.

    So here it is....enjoy!

That's it for now. I'll be making more progress on the car in the coming months, and Stephen is planning on being there to film it. I should add that this never was intended to be a "how to" video, but more of a documentary on how I do things. None of this was planned or scripted...Stephen just showed up and filmed me as I worked. He thought what I was doing to this car was interesting, and that was the driving force behind the videos.

Please keep that in mind as you watch them...the way I do things is not the only way, or the "right" way. Since I am self-taught and work alone, I don't expect everyone to agree with my methods. And yes, I should wear more personal protection equipment...I normally do when it's not 100 deg. outside.

I hope you enjoyed the series...I'll try to post more updates as the car progresses.

    Brian,
I feel like I've watched a whole season of a reality TV series in 10:41. That car is killer, and it's nice to see & hear all the obvious & subtle motifications. You guys in Texas have all the fun, can't wait to see part 2.

I don't know Brian, I'm sort of loving your coupe with those slicks on there...they're just so damn fitting buddy.

I'm in the middle of the video so I have to resume it before I comment on the rest I just wanted to make sure I remembered to say something about those rear tires.

If that doesn't inspire you to do better work then there is no hope for you. Thanks Brian for sharing.

If you guys like this one, you'll love the other parts. There's way more technical stuff in the rest of it.

Haha...I figured you or Lucky would catch that. I think Lucky gave me that shirt at Bonneville. I still wear it, and I fit into it a whole lot better now, since I've lost about 15 lbs since that was filmed.

Believe it or not, the first part of this video was filmed in Dec. 2008, and the latest part was filmed about a month ago. It can take a long time to build a car like this when you're a busy one-man shop.

Thanks for the positive feedback so far guys...It means a lot to me and I'm sure Stephen will feel the same.
