I love 2 door wagons. My OT 2door 2wd Cherokee is my favorite daily driver of all time.
I plan on buying another one from the unrust belt next year.

  4. Love 'em...have had a few of them...53 and 54 plymouth...59 and 60 rambler american...3 different willys wagons

I've owned a couple of 4 door Falcon wagons, But I always wanted a 2 door - and now I do. But the back seat is very hard to acess. Everything that gets shoved forward from the back gate is a pain to retreive.

But 2 doors just seem cooler and look better to me. And getting harder to find too.

  7. My second car was a '61 Ford Ranchwagon. I had a glasspack on it and painted a racing stripe across the hood (early Camaro style). We be bad!

I miss mine. A very practical and attractive hotrod. IMHO. It took 4 of us the the first Jalopy showdown. 4 old farts sliding sideways around a muddy track...it don't get no better than that. Sometimes a back seat can be fun but I still can't handle 4 doors.:D

I LOVE wagons! So hot! Mine was a 4 door 57 chevy. If it was a 2 door I may have made serious concessions to keep it when things got tough a few years ago.

This is the one I've been doing a (slow) buildup of on the '54 Ford Forum. My sister drove this in High School in the 90s and I inherited it. Now its getting a MII and a 1958 Lincoln 430 with six Rochesters. (Oh, and I'm getting rid of the black primer!)

  13. I have said it in another thread, but I theorize the need for this body style was greater before the truck cap emerged on the scene. It would have allowed craftsmen (who weren't worried about passenger capacity) to haul larger items but be able to lock it all up, unlike an open truck bed.

One of the cars I wish I never sold was my 1960 Comet two-door wagon. I still miss that car!

I really dig wagons, I own seven of them. Four of them are 2 doors, '29 Model A Woodie, '57 Ford Ranch Wagon, '57 Chevy Sedan Delivery and a '59 Chevy Brookwood 2 door.

My first car was a 1958 Chevrolet Yeoman 2-door wagon, that I bought for $60 back in college. Just one of many cars I wish I still had.

It doesn't seem right that a station wagon would be "cool"... but they sure are!
