Hey! Anybody live in a town with an interesting, colorful or auto related name?

I always found it amusing that Dodge City, Kansas is located in Ford County.

 

Speed KS, DeSoto KS

 

I always stop in Nitro, West Virginia when I head to Charlotte...

 

I live just across the river from Nitro,WV. It was a government built town during WWI for a munitions factory,hence the name.

 

Its towns with interesting names. Not descriptions of whole friggin' states.

 

I live in Auburn (like the car) Washington.

There is a town out on the peninsula called Humptulips, WA. There is even a Humptulips State Park!

 

Bagdad Ohio....funny part is when you plug it into google the 5 listing down (which is the first listing for Bagdad OH) is for low income housing....a truly awesome city.

Bagdad FL, Bagdad KY, And another one in VA as well....seems Bagdad is a popular place...

Then you got Smut Eye Alabama, followed by BraSwell Georgia

And for the one and only KIRK! Legionville, MN.

The sad part is that I've been to over half of the towns I just listed...(I seem to pass through all the Bagdads)

EDIT-Damn....one town name that actually has something to do with this thread....did I mention I hate Bagdad?

 

Gas City, Indiana

Interesting that you should mention Fucking. It's actually a very nice place. It's a quiet little town. The signs welcome you, and remind you to drive safely, to protect the Fucking children. There is very little Fucking crime- in fact, they biggest crime is the Fucking tourists stealing the Fucking signs.

 

Yeah, me too--another one might be White Settlement, just to get a handle on the attitude there.

 

There's an exit on I-94 in the western part of MI that says "Climax". 1st time my wife and I passed it I told her this is where we get off. It took a few seconds to sink in...

Brosville in Pittsylvana County VA.

Mouth of Wilson in Grayson County VA.

 

I drive thru Mechanicville , Virginia everyday going to work , it's in Bland county , and for the life of me , I cant believe that nobody has mentioned "Bumfukt Eygpt !!"

 

I also forgot where I used to deer hunt , its a place called Stinking Lick , it's in Monroe county , West Virginia , ... Some other original names around here are: Coon Branch Hollow , in Mc Dowell county ,... Ni_ _er Branch Hollow , this is no shit , it's also in McDowell county West Virginia ,... Possum Hollow road , Mercer county , West Virginia , Cheesy Creek Road , in Oakvale ,Mercer county , West Virginia ,there are alot of others , just give me a while to remember them....

 

lived one city over most of my life...Pontiac,Michigan which just so happens to be located in Oakland County.....weird how those two are tied together

 

Suicide Corners, NY Is a nice place to visit.

How about my beautiful town of CAPON BRIDGE, WV Who in hell would name a town after a de-sexed rooster They shortened the name of the creek that runs thru it (Cacapon)...what were they thinking This town is as lame, backward and stupid as the name...I gootta get outta this sh*thole I need to go south were it don't snow 5 feet every winter !!

My dog's name is Hudson, and we live in Rush Center. . My other dog's name is Dusty. So when I yell for them outside, I yell, Dusty, Hudson! My neighbor says I wish you'd wash that Hudson.

 

Funny thing about Climax Michigan is , it's not too far from 69 if my memory serves well?

 

"Blue Balls" sounds like a place where the guys don't get any....
