    Doug,
Just some correct "Period" decals and lettering. Not really trying to copy any one particular car. Probably old Cragars up front and painted steel wheels out back. I am just going to use a mild 390 to get it going, and then switch to a 427 eventually.

Little town in WI back in the late '60's, early 70's had a Ford dealer heavy into drag racing. One car was a '67 HDTP Fairlane Super Stock with the SS fibeglass hood. No idea what motor at the time since they were building every type of Ford motor available back then. I'm a Pontiac guy but the 66/67 Fairlane body styles are one of the best looking in my eyes. The '67 was painted a deep dark blue with just a touch of metal flake in it. In the sun and under bright lights at nighy is just sparkled. I'll always remember the name on the car----"Night Mist". I've always thought that was the coolest name. Especially with that car in that color. Mark L

I have some old pics that are not mine, but I will post them here if anyone is interested. They are on some other sites, so you may have seen them before. They are the from the personal collection of a fellow FCA member.

I love that 57/58 hybrid! We did one like that when I was a youngster. We called ours, and it became known, as "the crossbreed".LOL Looks great actually.

I drove this one to high school. Sports Coupe with a 289 and ford-o-matic trans. Was a 260 car but took on a tree head on at 45 mph. The 260 didnt survive. Ended up jamming the driveshaft into the trans.

    With junk front end removed.

    Finished car.

That blue 64 convert on the first page looks great! I saved a convertible roof frame and all the parts from a 65 Falcon for many years in the hopes of building something similar from a hardtop 64 Fairlane but never did.
