this will be a cool thread. I been wanting to get one for ever, I just cant justify spending the money these fetch for a piece of yard art.

  9. We found this in the woods. We filled up at $.69 per gallon. What a deal!

This is my rural '40s era country station. It started with just one pump, then a can, then a sign, then, well, you know.......:)

This one of my 1920's St.Louis Pump, I paid 2 bucks for it, my wife would not let me buy the Wayne visible with 120 gallons of gas, yes the gas was good and the pump worked cause you could see the good gas in the pump. the Wayne went for 150$ when gas 1.35 a gal, early 80's & still pissed about it, and the oak roll top desk for a 150$ nice big one:mad:. I gotta kick the shit out of someone or something.......:p with these knees can hurt anything....

I always wanted an old gas pump for my garage but when ever I found one the person selling it wanted boo koo money for it un-restored and the fiberglass replica's are around $600, so i got creative with an old well pump tank I got from a local well drillers scrap pile. I scored an original porcelain pump face on ebay, got the globe on-line, bought the rest from Mcmaster carr & Home depot. I have less then $100 into it and it filled my empty spot in my garage.

  24. Here are mine, the red one are a Ljungmans 1953 (Sweden). The green is a Gilbarco made in GB; I think it’s from the mid 50: s. I bought new parts for the Gilbarco, found new ad glass / stickers / rubber and Mobil Gas globe. Hope to find the time to fix it, love this old stuff.
