My favorite motor up to date is the 322 Nailhead. Had one in a 56 Buick and man that boat would pull! I want another one very badly.

The CAMMER... mostly because of its Nascar history, (or lack of...) followed by Mickey Thompsons Pontiac tempest blown and injected slant 2. DAMN what a brain

    I agree!!!!

2nd Choice would be a 426 Wedge followed closely by a worked Flathead!!

  8. I've always been an sbc guy but I've grown to appreciate the other greats. Flat head fords, Early Hemi's, YBlocks, Big block fords.

This one because nobody knows what it is. Lots of guesses but I usually have to tell them.

Right on. Ivo's bucket nailhead has got to be the simplest looking, most purposeful hotrod engine ever put between frame rails.

  13. If I was placing engines by category it would be:
-the nailhead as a vintage/traditional hot rod engine that I can afford and has a unique look
    and makes good power.
-Ford Cammer if money was no object.
-Full dress Cobra 289 just for looks.

My favorite is the nailhead followed closely by the w-motors.

But I do like the gmc v-12.:D:eek:

Cadillac 346 flathead, liberty V-12, Detroit 4-71, Volvo b234 or b23 16 valve. These all would make for a good time.

409 in a hot rod. But I keep thinking more and more about building a 429/460....

Tasty Jeff. I moved my 331 over to the other side of the shop and I was just in awe of it once again. Inside my house I have an old Polished Edelbrock 6x2 with 94's and linkage all ready to go. It taunts me on a daily basis saying things like "oh just run me pussy!" or "yeah you better let your wife handle me instead because you are far to scared".

Gotta go with the 303-394 olds rocket engines. Strong from the factory and even stronger hopped up.
