Vacuum for power brakes, had to come up with some creative bends toward the rear in order to clear the kick down and throttle and then into a 90 to run parallel to the valve cover, but it worked out great.

Contrary to what the armchair critics say, I have never built a car that has received so much praise and attention. I could hardly get away from my car this night due to the attention it received. It looks like she's a winner. :)

  5. Bitchin wagon! I'm lovin every part of it EXCEPT...the shiny cleared over patina....I know you wanted to protect the natural look of the car, but the shine just kills it for me. I can maybe see it on just the exterior of the car, but definately not on the wheelwells/underhood. if you want to protect it just use flattened clear, IMO it would look more "real".
Interior on this sucker is killer! Nuthin better than the stock appearing stuff! Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming.

Agree with the above except i'd paint the car. The "patina" look is just cheap and the rest of the car doesn't suit that. It makes it looks like you can't afford to paint it and the wheels say otherwise.

My 61 wagon has "patina" only because i haven't got the money to paint it yet.

Nicely done sir! I picked up a crew cab instead of a wagon when I found out I have a chillun on the way and you are making me rethink my choice! Wagon is just perfect I also like that you keep a few sets of wheels around to suit the show/mood your in I plan to do tha same with my junk. Wheels change everything I would love to see that on some skylark wires or supremes! Oh and your engine bay looks legit what color gold did you use in the fins !?

Thanks James! The color is that I used on the engine and accessories is produced by VHT and is called "Gold Flake".

Dave, The breathers feature two 3/16" alan head fastners on top and are easily removed. They are packed with a coarse foam and oil runs smoothly when adding.

How is he going to do a tech article? Just by me telling him via the internet? HAHAHA! Too Funny!

ShutterBox Photography has some serious skills. Very happy he took the time to shoot the car. And, yes yhey are totally bitchin'. :D

Thanks T-buckethead! Mike is a super great guy! I hope to meet him one day in person, I would absolutely love to road trip the wagon back to Texas and show up at the ranch. And yes, I dedicated this build to Jason, his name is on the car. ;)

Just finished installing my Billet Specialties pedals to compliment the interior. Sorry for the mess on the carpet and mats, I hadn't vac'd up yet and clear protective film is still on the pedals. LOL!

While I appreciated all the work you've done on the car, I think you should have stopped right here on the exterior.

Here you had a nice look going, with decent original paint. If you wanted a little more shine you could have buffed it and waxed it a little.

I don't get the clear coat.

This car was built entirely on a new style that is on the rise, it has been tagged the name "recession rodding". It is partly derived from So. Cal styled V-dubs and new age street-rodding. It is not really your traditional H.A.M.B. style ride and shouldn't be classed as that. Something different, something good, and it getting mass amounts of attention. ;)

I really like the attention you have executed in the details. You've also answered most people's questions on here(some ppl want to keep everything secretive) and have taken any criticism well without becoming all defensive.(as some on here do) Most ppl on here may dislike the big wheels but thats a 4way, floor jack and 15 minute change. I'd just keep several sets of wheels, one set for good guys show(bling), maybe wires for low rider show, and some steelies for the LSR next spring! It is "your" car and you have done a great job.
