I don't want to talk sizes, I'm pretty much set on 6.70-15.

And radials just don't cut it.

But, what brand, this size, LOOKS best?

    BFG?

    US Royal?

    Firestone?

    Coker Classic?

    How much whitewall?

    What are you guys running?

    Pics????

Im a fan of Firestones, and that is the best size in my opinion as well. Mine is stuck on 14s for now, which I hate, but I am going to do 6.70 15s as well.

    i like firestones

i also think the width of the whitewall depends on the style/era that the car is built...

I'm shooting for a conservative custom. 4 or 5 inch chop. Low but no bags.

    I sure like this car.

Except I'd run sombreros and no skirts.

That car kills. I agree with sombreros, however if you run a sombrero, you gotta have a fat white. Dont even try a sombrero with less than 3 1/4 it looks like a street rod radial job in my eyes.

I'm running Goodyear 6.70 x 15's on my 50 Fleetline and they have a 4 1/4" whitewall. I love the look of these tires!

    mmmmmm. sexy!

Come to think, when I see sombreros, they're usually running VERY wide whitewalls.

They have also brought back the General Dual 90 tire. My Dad used to run that tire on his cars back in the day. Nice non aggressive bias ply with a nice shoulder.

Just got firestones for my coupe and put them on this weekend. 670x15. 3 1/4 WW.
These tires look great with the pie crust edges. $178.00 a tire.

All the WWs shown in this thread are very wide, as they would have been on an early '50s car. By the mid-'50s they had skinnied down some, and I prefer that kinda mid width.
    These are 2 1/2":

I got 20 year old Firestones on mine - refuse to pay the inflated prices that Corky is charging - 670 x15
I think these look good on mild customs, but I think we need to see your car to determine what would look right on yours.

We got Goodyears on ours. They are tall as fuck. I like them, but they are ,if i remember correctly, 2 inches taller than the Firestones. You "mite", like on a chickens ass, be hitting on the front inner splash panels. Just say'n.......
