Event Coverage Anyone going to the kkoa denison, TX show at the end of october?

Just checking to see if anyone was going to go this year? Last year the drags at the airport were awsome I'm hoping I can take something to race even if its not that fast LOL! I have some videos from last year but I gotta figure out how to modify them from the cam corder to a digital media so I can post them.

I wish jerry titus would have the show and drags both fri and sat. He had a huge turnout I thought for the fri drags compared to the show turn out. The drags are done with a flagman which makes it cooler i think. I believe it was 1/8th mile to but I could be wrong.

Hopefully some folks will show up to race. Nothing like the smell of burnt rubber and racing fuel in the morning to cheer ya up.

Welcome aboard Jerry...I wish that I could go but I have a 50th burthday party to
go to. So I'll be up in your parts of the woods.. I know that it is lame but what can
I say. I hate missing it because I need a dose of Pushrod.

Last years show was great, they moved it down town and it was a good move. I think
that they had over 150 cars and most of them were kool......

I wanna race something this year I hate watching so I've got 3 cars I'm going to decide from. Either the 57 race car project if I get it going in enough time with the mild motor, or one of my later model rides my big block buick gran sport even tho its a 72, or lastly I will try and swap gears out in the rear of my 60 and run it.

I'm determined to race something at least once even if it breaks haha.

 

Can't find a lot of definitive info about Saturdays' happenings on KKOAs' website. Is there basically a show all weekend at Forest Park??? That is kinda the way I am interpreting it. Have never been able to make it to Salina yet but don't want to let this deal pass me by in my own backyard so to speak.
Can't make it Friday but me and a few guys are looking to ride bikes up that Saturday and just check things out for a few hours. Any thing happening besides the dance later that nite???

Its just a show and shine on sat at the park. Fri is the day not to miss with the drag racing its awsome. Its basically just old school heads up street racing.

Hey D. We're booked up but will be going to Pistons & Paint. You two should check it out.

 

And the weather is going to be great (per forecast) warmer than last year. 65` for the races...yeah baby

 

Rashy thats cool hopefully we can swing going to pistons and paint also. I'd like to go this year since I missed last year.

I'm planin on being in denison hopefully by 10am I hope. were just bringin the 60 tho. The engine for the 57 chevy project got flooded and is stuck so I gave up on the project for the time being. I did change the gears in the 60 tho but its not a low enough gear for it. I accidentally sold my 4.11s that were in it so I put 3.56s in it but I barelly noticed a difference in its take off. My motor doesn't start working till 2500 to 3000 rpms so I guess we will just have fun slow drags haha.

 

I live here , so YES, I will be there.

 

Wish I was going to Denison Texas . KKOA show in Salina Kansas is always a blast.Jerry and his crew know how to do it.
