Yesterdays Roadtrip ~ DRIVE EM kids!

    Yesterday the wife and I headed towards NE Ohio to Ashtabula County in OH. All told we put 260 miles on the 57 for the day and stopped at 11 covered bridges. Later, Bill

    Just curious,,,, Whats the reasoning behind a covered bridge?? oh yeah nice truck and pics!!

    Nice pics, I like thoes kind of road trips, laid back and keeping the little woman happy. Looks like it was a good time.

    Nope its NEVER changing. It took 50+ years for that paint to look that good. :D

    Because early bridges were made of wood. They covered them to keep the bridge structure from deteriorating so fast.

    Novatatoo- great pictures, and great truck. I see you at most of the shows I attend and have always liked that truck. Where are the bridges at? Almost looks like you came to PA for them.

    Well we were close to PA. Ashtabula, OH way up there in the corner. :D Yes I've seen you're truck too many places and have checked it out. :D

    Nice Pictures, we have a lot of covered bridges in the Allentown area also. There really neat to look at.

    Wow, cool pic's. I could stare at covered bridge construction for hours - it has always amazed me.

    What a great idea.....I'll have to load up the little woman and take a road trip like that.
    Moved to Ohio back in 2003 from Santa Maria, Ca. and would love to see things like that.
