Wow.... Can't believe I've missed this thread...

Well here's the start of Mine...

HA!!! Not much but the items are key ones.... I'm building the Beebe Bros and Sixt car as a Cackle Deal. Research is going well and the parts are starting to accumulate.

So far I have the Correct Roll Bar/Back Tube and the torsion tube that are NOS items from RCS before they closed. The proper Ellco Fuel Tank, The proper Donovan Welded Can, and my main frame rails are bent up and ready. So the parts collection will continue over the next few years and then the car will come back to life!

Hell, At least I've got my Push truck done!

    Cheers,

    Robert M.

I'll be watching this Briggs & Straton swap. Keep us posted on the gas milage! Oh, wait... That's probably not what's going on in this picture, is it?

This thread is it! I love the very first pic on page one, of the Salinas club rail, by Royalshifter. Very similar to the '58 Chassis Engineering I'm building.

More pics of the old stuff?

This looks like a pretty neat old thread. Built this 270 GMC dragster a few years ago, added two full lenghts of tubing to bring it up to specs so we could run an occasional Wensday night, while trying to keep the original 1963 vibe. We got hooked up with Dwayne from H& L Metals also, UPS'd him a cardboard pattern, and some tubing for the second bar on the cage, and he matched it up perfectly, (and he said he probably did the original one too). Was a fun project, and one of the few things I have ever regretted selling. The motor is in good hands in Texas now, with 200 mph Hans, here on the HAMB.

Here is mine. All I know is someone from my home town backhalfed it. It's never been down the track since the update (6.00). 150" WB. Hopefully this winter I'll have the funding to build a motor to run about 50-75% nitro.

Here are a couple more shots of the Dixie Flyer from about 10 years ago. I think Niteflyer took them. They've been in a mislabled file. Just found them yesterday. I forgot how pretty it was.

At that race, before we fired up we asked the other crew chief to wait because we were going to burn out the entire length of the track. The starter overheard us and says, "not on my track" 'cause it's prepped. Mark did the burnout and the car disappeared from all the smoke. Left two black stripes all the way past the lights. It was humid South Carolina summertime where the air never really moves. When we made the pass the track was still covered by smoke.

Here is ours, it runs with a small block sometimes (zoomie headers) and a big block the rest of the time (collector headers, ugly but effective) , we built it in 2004...
