  1. Marks73turbota, I'm jealous; that is one clean Cat! What size is that Pontiac mill are you going to run in that thing?
Chuckles - Man that's cool! can't get any better than that...nice concept and beautiful work. Love the set back blown nailhead!

I vote tuck 'em in, lower the back a bit and radius the fenderwell. If you can roll it outside and get a clean side shot of the car, I'll Photoshop different setups for it to give you a better idea of how it might look.

That's one tuff-lookin' Poncho! I've always loved the early-'60's Pontiacs. Here's my father's old '61 Catalina that had it's original 389-348 HP short block replaced by a genuine SD421 short block but retained it's original Tri-Power on top. Tri-color interior, 8-Lug wheels, and a 4-Speed......it was one sharp machine! Now, as much as I love these old Pontiacs though, I've still never been a fan of those side rear view mirrors that are mounted way up on the front fender! Maybe it's the Chevy-ness in me speaking, but they really belong on the doors!

I hate being a naysayer on your outstanding job but every time I look at that red fuel hose so close to the blower drive belt it gives me a bad case of the hejibies thinking about the unintended consequences of a drive belt catastrophic loss.

Stick em out! that things a freak already with the straight axle and battleship size. Raise up the back and mount them huge meats. Also with that look people will expect some monster to rip out the hood holding a Hurst shifter in its hand!

Got this far. I'm building the narrowed frame from 2X3 tubing. I will get the tires all the way under but out as far as I can without cutting the wheelwells.

    My CSU blow thru carb.

Found these chrome chevvell ladder bars in great shape. Will probably try to lengthen them in the back to make them longer. Nice bling for the thing!

This is the turbo. I am stuck on turbos even if it is not traditional. Although if I could afford it I'd go to a complete 6 or 8-71. Would love that.

My '73 TA I sold to do this project made 886 rear wheel HP (1065 flywheel HP) and I'm determined to make more with this one. I have much better engine parts to do it with.
Thank you for all the great coments guys, it is much appreciated.
Chucles. I've been following your build to see how you mount the radiator in the trunk. I'll be doing the same thing as soon as I get that far. I'm going to see if I can find someone that can louver the trunk. I think it will work great that way too. Great build.

Here are my cousins cars built the Acadian last winter it was around for awhile but never was finished now it is. The 57 ford he owned when he was 18 but sold it for more money now 30 years later trades a car for this and it has not changed in all them years. 57 has Glass flip front end and glass doors, 2" bar full cage. Finally!! My car is near enough to finished to be able to show off a pic!!

A drag car made street legal.

And a couple of it in its racing days.

And the broken down shot....No I didnt spin out and end up on the wrong side of the road......we drive on the "wrong" side!!!

That's the baddest ass car I've seen in a long time. Beautiful paint and plenty of engine to back up the look. Great job.
