Those curtains are a terrible idea. I don't know who's idea that was but it really makes the aerial views suck! The outer cars are totally blocked out.

I meant to get photos of the arena floor before the curtains were put up. It really looked like a 50's show seeing all of the cars spread out in the arena. I know what you mean and I didn't think it was a good idea as I saw them going up, but I must admit it really does work when you are walking the isles.

Oh I like this! Your awesome angle looks like a 1/24th scale model contest. Also looks like it's going be real tight quarters once they open the gates. You may end up with the best pictures of the show. Diggin' that blue flamed right hand drive Cadillac.

    Have a great show!

A few more. Such a neat deal.

I have become a little jaded to car shows in general, except a few that still do it for me(you know who you are LSRU) but this was just a neat experiance. Trace, Riun (say ryan) and crew are on to somthing quite special and we hope this goes well for them.

John Denich and Rodger O'Dell dropped their cars off at the ACME shop yesterday so they coluld avoid some of So-Cal's finest traffic this morning. I guess you could say that their cars had a "sleep over" at ACME.

John's Chebby is one of my all time favorites and Rodger is the cartaker of Larry Watson's T-Bird. I admit I did keep going out into the shop and just sitting there looking at the T Bird. The car has a pretty big presence.

This morning we all met and made the drive to the show together. I can't get over what a fun day this was!

We just got back from set up day, and i said WTF is with the curtains they're setting up. After they were set up & walked around it was more of a Focus on the car than the background . Just look at these photos. Awesome show!

Looks like a very nice show, some fantastic cars.

  21. Looks like Live Wire's new friend is Dick Rash! :D

From the set up photos it looks like an awesome show, by the way, did the Manta Ray really show up on that open trailer? If so that's freakin' awesome!

Is good to see the two Australian built cars arrived ok, and are on display.

  24. Looks like the two Aussie entries made it there on time and unscathed. Mario and Justin must be stoked.

  27. It's too bad all the chaos caused the Caddy from Australia to overheat. But then again......there was LOTS of overheating going on,hahaha!
I was running my butt off trying to get all the cars organized and parked. Talk about a bunch of "Stage Moms!" Some guys you just aren't gonna please. I left at 9:00 and there was still some shuffling going on.
I got LOTS of great set-up pic's too. I'll probably just put mine on here too.
Save all my other pic's for my own thread.
I appreciate the help from Popawolf,Nick,Rudy and Chris, for helping me get those two cars moved over. I don't like touching other guys cars!!!!!!!!

I'll see all you guys back there tonight for the CRUISE!!!!!!!! Maybe that will go a little smoother, haha!

looks like it is going to be an outstanding show.. great to see a NW representative down there (Dick's pink coupe). Did Marshall take it down or did Dick

  29. There were two guys with it. An older guy and a youmger guy. Pretty sure that's them.

wow. clearly this is shaping up to be some thing classic and special.

i like the curtain idea. removes the visual overload and allows focus on a car by car basis.
