    ok, I'll do that
but here it is, not all bolted down though, just one more dry fit.
now I can see exactly what all the misc nuts and bolts need to be like,
and I need to get another pilot bushing made before I can bolt the transmission up.
had to pull the old bushing, the Muncie input shaft didn't quite reach far enough.
but it's on the test stand, should be firing it up soon I hope..

THUMP THUMP, THUMP THUMP! That gold is the perfect 60's color! Hope you get a video and good luck with the start up! How much boost are you running with 8 1/2 compression?

    from nowhere...

    That thing looks great.
The motor, the car, all of it...I like the gold, too, it was popular then, and it should have been. It looks great against all the "silvery" metals...great compliment to them.
What front axle are you using?
It looks like less than 4" of drop, but looks perfect, with the channel.

    Nice looking engine.

What are you using to make up a pilot bushing.
Does brass work or must it be some type of special material?

    thanks Kathy,
don't remember exact boost numbers off the top of my head..
I'll have to find my notes..
    it's slightly underdriven though...

thanks, it's an axle I picked up a one of the local swap meets, dropped and drilled localy... I think it's a '35-'36 with about four inches total drop

bronze, specific alloy for this type of bearing

I can't seem to find my notes anywhere...

but if memory serves (and it rarely does),
the target boost was to be about six pounds...

Coming along nicely and it's going to be killer when its all buttoned up and you do that first smokey burnout. Of course we'll DEMAND a motion picture kinda thing when that happens.:)

this is the first time I've used it on an engine,
everything I've read sounds good though.

    I guess we'll see.

    yesterday was baby steps,

got the pilot bearing from my machinist freind,
and bolted the transmission on for a test fit, looks good.

bolted the carbs to the adapter,
    bent up some fuel line,
and drilled and tapped a piece of 3/8" stainless rod to tie them together
