You mean someone is actually brewing Little Kings again ??????????

    Who ?

Now, if we can just find some Fehr's for Indy and some Drewery's for hoosierheel, we'll have a party !

Mission now is to look through more of the negatives I have and see if I can find cars sponsored by other breweries. More postings coming.....

    Thanks.

I would like to know more about the #15 Holman Moody 1966 Ford. Was it formally Ned Jarrets car or Dick Hutchersons car. Holman Moody only built three 1966 Galaxies that year. I currently own Fred Lorenzen's 1966 Holman Moody Galaxie. It's the only one of the three that survived. Is the one your Uncle drove still around?

Is that the old Nashville Fairgrounds race track? I saw a few races there in the late 70s early 80s

edit to add- I see the post above the pics saying it is that track. I have seen Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, and Darryl Waltrip win there. The would open the gate to cross the track after the races in those days and you could walk among the drivers. In 1979 I walked past this upstart guy sitting on his car signing autographs and walked up and got the signature of the guy I thought would be rookie of the year. Yep walked past Dale Eanrhardt and got Jodie Ridley's signature!

Steve, what a party that would be! Get some of those old Louisville and Cincinnati beers and like the Bud Light commercial says, "Here we go!"

Bowsher 21, I wish I had some photos from that 1970 road course race at IRP for you. I did a "Driven to the Past" column about Jack sometime this year for Frontstretch.com. He was a good friend from the time we met when I was flagging for John Marcum. I even got an e-mail from Julie, his widow, thanking me for the column.

    Lawman...

    "For it's always Fehr weather,
    when good fellows get together,
    with Fehr's on the table,
and a good song ringing clear."

That's from 50 years ago. Tomorrow morning I'll have to ask my wife where I left my glasses.

From even farther back (how does this stuff linger in the mind so long?).

    "Pepsi-Cola hits the spot,
    12 full ounces, that's a lot,
twice as much for a nickel, too,
Pepsi-Cola is the drink for you."

Hey FASTWAY - Not sure if this guy was actually sponsored by Hudepohl, or Hudepohl was what kept his crew happy ! The car was gold - the 14K was in the same style of lettering as on the can.

BTW - Does anyone know the driver ?

    Shot at Dayton in 1967

    Enjoy,

    The Oldtimer !

Maybe what the mayor of Nashville needs is a visit from some members of Gary Balough's old "pit crew."

Speaking of Gary, this is on the 4m, dirt tracking forum.

Gary Balough will be the special guest on Wednesday, September 14 when Inside Florida Racing comes back on the air on REAL RACIN USA.com at 7 PM.

Balough will be the only guest for this show;to discuss his rise up the ranks to Winston Cup racing, and his current projects which he hopes will help some younger drivers find success on the track.

To listen tune your browser to www.realracinusa.com at 7 PM and click on the On Air Link

A few from Nashville, TN. These are the local cars that ran the night before the All American 400 in 1990.

This is the unfortunate race where Harold Kite lost his life.
Couple of unfamiliar names here--Rock Harn and Rene Charland.
