That is a beautiful 36. I know what you mean.. cos' it would look 'real' good with a lowered lid! I would drive it for a while, then it would be a whole different car, with the chop
Cut the coupe. As nice as it is, a chopped top would IMPROVE the looks. Like most early fords too big a space between door tops and roof.
CHOP THAT SHIT!! Just make sure you dont flattin the door tops. Too many have been chopped that dont look right because they take some of the shape out of the door tops.
Hell no! And raise that back end up while you are at it. When did this become a restorer's forum? Git-r-dun!
if your a young guy i say go ahead & chop it - if your an old fuck like me - leave it as is - why waist the time & money if your going to be dead in a couple of years - i would love to rod my 30 but at 64 i might not be here tomorrow or i still might be driving 20 years from now - so maybe i should chop it - naaaa
Great looking car right now. I have exactly the same question about my '36 Three Window. They work both ways, and look great both ways. However, the chop has to be "right", if it's not, big issue. What does your gut tell you ? Make yourself happy............ Johnnie.
