I lost my Love, Julie yesterday. She made her last pass at 10:21 am. God made the call for her to Heaven's staging lanes. She was 88. For those who knew her , she was 30 yrs. older than me, but age didn't matter. It was the love and respect we had for each other. We met because of cars back in 1973, Got her SCCA road racing licence at 63 at Sears Point in 1985, WE MARRIED IN 1985 , 1990 SCCA GT-4 Las Vegas Region Champion, SCCA San Francisco GT-4 Solo 1 Champion 3 times. She Autocrossed in the toughess Region in SCCA, San Francisco Region in C/Street Prepared and went to the National Runoffs. I have always been into drag racing and she always came along and loved Nitro. For her 80th Birthday she stood next to the Starter at Sacramento Drag Strip the first rounds of a 8 car field of Nostiglia Top Fuel and cheered for both fuelers and the flames. She watch me build every part of our Cackle Car and saw it come altogether. She said it was our child being born when it first fired. I LOVE YOU JULIE LEE

Wow. I had to read that twice to comprehend just how lucky you were to have someone like that in your life. Your right...age makes no difference when its meant to be!
Sure sounds like she was an awesome person to enjoy life with.

Truly sorry for your loss Riceman...and Godspeed Julie.

A love story for sure. Congrats to the both of you for so many years of love and shared interest. Age truely doesn't make an difference when it "right". May she rest in peace.

I live in St John's...with the 'S on the end...in NL (Newfoundland.)
Theres a St John in NB(New Brunswick), but no St John's in NS (Nova Scotia) as far as I know.
Either way...if she was from any of the Atlantic provinces I fully understand her life force. The women around here have always been strong willed and independent...as I'm sure you know. ;)

    All the best...and stay strong.
