I voted to chop it. I'd go 3" and bob the fenders too (didn't see that vote with the chop). You know what you want. I'll go out on a limb and say that more than 1/2 of those who voted not to chop it would rather have it that way and would get the warm and fuzzy from it you wish to create. Then why did they vote "leave it"? Don't mean to start a shit storm but there's that fear of change and lack of ability that gets seasoned with today's instant gratification. Sure it's done. By someone else. To the limit of their vision on that car. If you have the ability and dedication to see it through, go for it. Words don't convey the tingle inside you get from a chopped Model A coupe. If ya think it kicks ass now...

I'll also add this. Zenor's car is unchopped and should be. The vibe is completely different and he hit the mark. Your coupe is talking to you and you should listen to it.

Here are a couple 4" chopped Photoshop images. You can see the little 4" piece of tape I used as a guide on the B pillar in the first picture:

Chop it two inches.. That would be the perfect chop for that car.

    When in doubt CHOP IT!!

  9. Awesome just the way it is. Chop it and the stance isn't as bad ass. Do those front wheels rub at all?

  10. you have to ask??? leave it.. or sell, get a basket case and have at it, you would probably have enough $ to get a good driver and project.

it seems like you have a car that isn't everything you want. or at the least you want to make it your own.

maybe that's why i don't like buying "finished" anything. cars or motorbikes.

as much as people are pretty adamant about not chopping it, 3 inches would make that thing ride clean. as well as bobbing those unicorn tail rear fenders.

but that's just the style i prefer. a lot of people here apparently like that car stock. and you have an idea of what you want. for some reason, i can tell you don't want to leave this car as is.

that photochop looks mean as shit. i really like that.

again it's your car, enjoy it!

I'm usually with the Chop-it crowd and couldn't wait to vote for that.
That is until I saw the pics.
    Leave it as is!!!

^^ I agree with CRFyou. My taste seems to be along the same lines.
Those photochopped pics definitely give it a whole new vibe.

If you like stockers thats ok, but don't let your sawsall get too rusty. Here's my 31 pick'em up, 3" out of the roof and rear fenders. If you are tall, make sure you can fit in it. This truck is NOT a long distance driver for me. Good luck Chuck.

Gee those pics of it with the 4" Chop look NUTS!!

At first, I said, NO WAY!

But the chop doesn't look bad at all!

That's my 2 cents just to mix you up all the lot more!!!

    Sure is a tricky one!

    HC.

I love my chopped, bobbed Model A, but i'd be mighty happy driving yours just as it is.
The roof height makes it stand out from the crowd. Plus, the paint looks too nice to hack into. Wait a few years and see how you feel. It's probably easier to chop it then, than to unchop it later. (Unchop...is that a real word?"

    NO WAY
That car is done, start driving, if you really feel like welding theres plenty of scrougy bodies, pick one up, weld for several years and build another car.

Oh yeah, they whole time you can be driving this one.

Very cool. Something else to ponder!

There's no rubbing at all, they tuck up in there really nice...even with the new 16" wheels and tires that are a tad taller than the old ones.

  27. Adam,

Drove past the shop on Saturday and saw the coupe parked on the side street. That car is perfect! I only wish I had time to stop and check it out...One of the best looking full fendered cars I have seen in a long time..Awesome job as usual....

    Damn i loved your Roadster:cool:

I would drive for a while just like that. I think it would look good with a subtle chop. 2 or 3 inches, just enough to enhance the awesome look it already has. But again, drive it for awile and see it ifs a "keeper" then proceed with enhancing what you already have, not changing the overall look.
