Went to our first car show with Father& Son trucks. My 16yo actually drove his own truck there on his learners permit. He and his brother spent the 2 days of the show flaming their truck. They had a pretty non-stop crowd going while laying out and cutting thier flames. what a poud dady day! man it was awsome! they could care less about the people watching they were having to much fun. They ended up getting a "Special Recognition Award" for their work. ME i got to pay their entry fee. Money well spent!
Best times with my father was car shows......he pass away 10 years ago..............you are a lucky man
Man that is a WILD truck! I love it, I would be proud too. Your sons going to remember this forever. I went to a few shows with my 48 Chevy when I was 16, didn't win any trophies though. I know hes proud of it!
Did the boys build the truck? In the pics they look like they really enjoy it,congrats on a job well done.
No they didm't build it. It was roughed together by a fellow HAMB'er and sumguy offered him GOOD money for it before he could do the finish work and it sat for years unfinished. I got it thrown in on a job I did and I gave it to my boys. They are now doing it their way. Note the Waukasha grill shell and alot of bondo. They've done most of it with a palm sander, a push board and good old fashioned elbow grease.
Pretty cool. But are you saying they sprayed paint out while at the show? That could have been an overspray nightmare for anyone downwind of the truck.
Sraying was done in the parking lot. open area very mild breeze out of the east. relative humidity of 74 with a temperature of 82 degrees. I own a house painting buisness and am pretty aware of drift. )considering painters insurance does not cover overspray. odd but true) Pretty sure anything after 10" was dry fall. Thanks though, appreciate it
Have you had the "drugs" talk with them? Ok, serious, looks like they are having fun with a weird, crazy truck!
