I took a ride out to Raceway Park to check out the Sat night traditional car show. It was very cool and although it was a small show everyone seemed to be enjoying the shit out of it. The "Wolfman" was playing Rockabilly and oldies tunes the whole evening. The bar "Sneaky Pete's" was open and there was the usual food available too. They set it up by the 1/8 mile track, and as part of the admission you get to make as many passes as you want. The locals didnt disappoint either as alot of them took to the track and lined up with their buddies to settle a few scores.(Check out the photo of the 427 powered 66 Suburban almost pulling the front wheels on STREET tires!!!) I spoke to the track officials and they let me in on some future additions...Gasser & Nostalgia Super Stock match racing, Burn-out contests, Flame throwers plus door prizes and trophies. I cant wait to get my car done so I can beat some fire out of it on the dragstrip. Enjoy the photos!
I think that we had about 30 cool cars and trucks plus 3 O/T cars. Considering that it was July 3rd and a first time for this event, it wasn't too bad. They really dug the fact that they were able to use the drag strip. Most, for the first time. WF
Saturday night..Should be great!..Be there! Match racing Gassers and Nostalgia S/S cars will be there to entertain the people..
Nope, far from it. You are looking at pics from July 3rd. We had a really good mix of cars on August 7. In fact, I can only think of one or two that might be considered rat rods. Quite a few ran their cars. Many had never been on a drag strip before. We had a lot of fun. WF
Sure is!..I saw Walt last Sat. night and they have a band lined up and D.J.(Wolfman)..A bunch of the The Hamilton Knights CC will be there along with The Robbinsville Hotrods..Should be an AWESOME time.... Nostalgia Racing w/flagman starter too!
6t5frlane and other HAMBers, stop by and introduce yourself...Look for the "Big Red" 63' Galaxie Nostalgia SS car and I'll be close by.. George
Nice to have met you George. The races between you and the Pontiac were sure fun to watch and if you squinted.....it looked like it was 1964 all over again !!! Geoff

Charlie and I will be at the Hotrod Hoedown ,maybe we'll see you there!
