I'm almost done with my '59 El Camino that I purchased in early May. I changed it to suit my taste. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I like it........Mike

It's just a 185 horsepower 283 2 barrel. It has a working '59 dealer installed underdash air conditioner. I'll post some photos of them a little later.....The engine looks as good as the outside though..JMO

 

Looks really cool! I like the idea that it doesn't have red wheels or www's. Interior is great!!!

 

My other cars run black wheels and blackwalls.....

 

You have a good eye! I like both of them....Very nice!

 

That thing is awesome. You say it may not be everyone's cup of tea. What's not to like. Anyone who doesn't think that's cool needs to be whacked upside the head. The 59 is my favorite year of el camino.

 

Wow, that's ULTRA nice!!!! I had a red 59 Elky with a 348 tripower that was a real favorite. Yours is the nicest I've seen!!!

Super tasteful, not a single element out of place, a real stunner and an example of restraint at the same time. How many cars can you say that about?

really clean.. and whats nice about a car like that is it only takes a change of wheels when the mood hits to give it a different look (set of astro's or chrome reverse) and you can have a totally different vibe.

I love the painted steelies and small caps look..

I have seen & touched Mike's car, it is absolutely beautiful. It is the cleanest, best put together 59 Elcamino that I have seen in person & I have looked at a lot of elkys over the last few years.

As I said in another post, your car is perfect. It has a real understated beauty that I am just drawn to. The engine bay IS as nice as the exterior.
