Dick Bland, beekeeper from Bathurst, is a splendid driver. Enthusiasts remember his capable handling of his Ford V8 Special and look forward to seeing him in action with the ex-Crouch Delahaye that won the Grand Prix so convincingly in 1949 at Leyburn, Queensland.

(I spent last weekend at Leyburn (Lee-burn) watching historic sprint races).

Keith Martin's Cooper with 996 c.c. V twin J.A.P. engine which develops 86 b.h.p. at 6000 r.p.m. won the Australian Hill Climb Championship for 1950 at Rob Roy. It's maximum speed is 118 m.p.h."
