it was another great speedweek, good to see all my buddies again, and meet some new ones. spent 95% of the time in line at the combo course so most of these shots were from around there. it was a great trip and i took the long way home to pick up a roadster project from paul in puyallup, wa, took the scenic route up there and made it a point to get lost for an hour or so each day just to brake up the drive and explore a little. it's a beautiful part of the country but boise traffic sucks. anyways here's the pictures.

the byu electric car, amazing build, it had some issues on it's first run and went into a low speed spin, i guess the throttle? is different and took awhile to let off.

Slick car, great example of the 28-29 cowl rule. Guess you don't need working doors either. [IMG]

Thank you Justin, great photos! Sure helps us guys that still have Bonneville on our "Bucket List". You don't see too many '32 Sport Coupes, this looks like a nice one. [IMG]

That sport coupe was barely a no-motor roller on ebay not long ago....I don't think it even had a rear end under it. Lots missing, too. Was in New York I recall. Must be a fast builder to get it done so quick.

    Thanks for the photos!!

Isn't this car from Nebraska? It looks to be Bob Smith's car, from Pawnee City...

Great shots JB! I've been waiting for your pics all week and it was worth the wait. Kenny and Dave did real well with the Scotty's roadster. To go 148 with a brand new motor is pretty impressive. Did Pete Ardema's team set a record?

that is my dads sport coupe. we built it in about a year just for bonneville. it came out of scranton pa .we had a blast. he left cincinnati ohio with only 75 miles on it . he was working on it till 11:00 before we left. only after two front tires and a broken valve spring , we made it to wendover. awsome trip. funky engine !

  24. That black 34 Ford coupe #9157 even has air conditioning, and ran 184 on Tuesday, 170+ twice on Monday for licensing. Don't think I am going to choose off with him at the local rod run. Really nice guys on that car.

That 32 sport coupe body was with a bunch of other 32 ford bodys and parts that me and my dad bought out of the upstairs of a warehouse in oregon city,or. That door with the tireland on it was not originally with that body but was a nice door so we put it on that car. We sold it to a guy in seattle area that then sold it to the guy that had it on ebay I believe in PA. The body had been in this warehouse for years. The door was really cool with white metalflake and maroon metallic around the window area(no one that we talked to knew where the door came from).

Wow, Thanks for pics at The Great White. So many race cars that never get seen by those of us that did not make it this year.

  29. Justin B - Nice Pics! ... thanks for taking the time to share them with us.

    gearheadbill - I agree!

Unfortunately, this year, the Atterbury-Dowd-Thomas #7500 "C" (306ci thru 372ci) / Gas Rear-engined Modified Roadster fell just a bit short of the 500 MPH mark  ... and could "only" muster 190.573 MPH.

Speed Week 2010 was just the second outing for the car ... I'm sure Ron, Matt, Chet & the team will get everything sorted out ... and will be setting a new C/GRMR class record** in the near future.

NOTE: More pics of "Salty" @ Speed Week 2010 can be found at the Attebury Street Rods Blogsite.

** The current C/GRMR record is 199.495 MPH ... set in 2008 by E. Natte in the Black Creek Racing roadster.
