I do have to confess. I feel that the Dream cruise should be for unique vehicles. Not the soccer mom minivan, the plain old honda civics with a fart can muffler, or the "just off the lot" camaros. Sometimes it is hard to see the cars that people put a lot of work into through all the stock crap cluttering the view.

Just my 2 cents. I know it is a cruise event... but still.

  7. It wouldbe nice to be able to only have vintage cars BUT because it is a major road they cannot close it off or limit access to the era of cars....

Nice. This is how I like to take in the cruise each year, on the HAMB. As far as "vintage only", well wasn't cruising Woodward the same regardless of when? Someone 10yrs ago bought up the kool car they wanted, made it their way and went out driving just for the sport of it. The era doesn't matter. I didn't drag race Woodward in the late 60s but I sure as hell did in the late 70s and early 80s, then again in the early 90s. No I didn't race right on Woodward but that's where many a deal went down just like Telegraph and Gratiot.

THAT IS FUNNY, SAD but TRUE. The crap is killing the WOODWARD Dream Cruise.

A few friends and I have been going since 99. It was better back then, but I've never not had a good time going to this every year. We only made it up for saturday, the weather wasnt the greatest but kept the temps down for the cars which was good. It also seemed a little less congested in the morning due to the weather which made doing the entire loop a little easier. My buddies were 66 and 67 mustangs and I was driving a powder blue 62 tbird with widewhites and chrome steelies.

  21. Already put in my request for vacation for the entire week of WDC and B2TB here in Flint. Hopefully there will be NO issues with my lovely Sport Fury, and I can catch both events and get plenty of pics. Also have a couple of friends requesting "shotgun"(sorry boys-I'M driving!) for various nights. Looking forward to it!
